The Olympic Judo mat is manufactured to the highest specifications. From a high quality rice straw pattern vinyl, specially impregnated to prevent cracking and remain flexible for many years. The mats have a microcellular non-slip base with heat-welded corners. This high quality range is the one used in major international competitions. Indeed, its strong density brings a rigidity and a solidity out of standard.
The Olympic judo mat has a density between 270/280 kg/m3.
Unlike many cheaper imitations, the Fighting Films tatami is designed to last. Some of our customers are still using 30 year old Fighting Films judo mats without the vinyl cracking or the non-slip base peeling.
Our tatamis are in conformity with the European standard EN 12503-3.
Indeed, during the 2022 Commonwealth Games, Fighting Films mats were used, proving the quality of our mats.
The mats are available in two sizes: 2m x 1m and 1m x 1m both with a thickness of 40mm
