The year 2022 is drawing to a close, and our veterans have taken advantage of numerous events across France and around the world to meet up and compete. Let’s find out what’s in store for us next year, with the veteran events not to be missed in 2023!
A busy 2022/2023 season of competitions
. The first tournament of the year will take place in Saint Marcel – Saône-et-Loire (71) from January 7 to 8. This is the Bourgogne Franche-Comté tournament, classified as label A.
. TheEurométropole master, the first Excellence tournament of the year, will take place in Mouvaux – Nord (59) on January 21 and 22.
. After a month’s break in February, back on the tatamis in Brittany this time, for a label A tournament, the Elvinoise veterans’ tournament, in Elven – Morbihan (56), on March 4.
. Then it’s off to the South West on the weekend of March 25 for the Master International des Vignobles du Médoc in Saint-Aubin du Médoc- Gironde (33), the second excellence tournament of the year.
. New label A tournament at La Motte Servolex – Savoie (73), see you on April 2 for the Savoie veterans tournament.
. Four major excellence tournaments take place between April and May, starting with the Master International de Tours in Tours – Indre et Loire (37) from April 15 to 16.
. Next up for the 2023 veterans, April 29 at Gérardmer – Vosges (88). New excellence tournament, Master International vétérans de Gérardmer.
. For the first meeting in June, we’ll be at the Master de Provence. The town of Gardanne – Bouches-du-Rhône (13) is looking forward to welcoming you to this tournament of excellence on May 6.
. Finally, the last excellence tournament in a long series, in Auche – Gers (32). The d’Artagnan Masters, an international competition just outside Toulouse, May 18-20.
. The Seine Maritime region welcomes back the Viking Master for its seventh edition. All at Gonfreville l’Orcher -Seine Maritime (76) on June 3.
. The European Championships take place from June 8 to 11 in Podcetrtek, Slovenia. Please note that for this competition and the World Veterans Championships, IJF kimono is mandatory!
. Last but not least, the 2023 French Veterans Championships in Paris on June 17 and 18!
