Which judo kimono should I choose for beginners?
For children or beginners, start by comparing the 1st Judogi and Hajime ranges. For regular adult training, choose the Red Label (500g). Your practice level, cut preference and dojo recommendations come first.
What is the difference between Standard Fit and Large Fit?
On competition judogis like the Superstar 750 IJF, the Large Fit cut provides extra room around the chest and waist, ideal for broader physiques, while Standard Fit provides the classic tailored cut.
Can I try on kimonos at the Paris boutique?
Yes, absolutely. Our boutique La Maison du Judo located at 1 Rue des Messageries (75010 Paris) welcomes you Monday to Friday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM. All our cuts and weights are available for fitting with expert advice.
Can I get my kimono or belt embroidered on site?
Absolutely. Fighting Films has its own embroidery workshop in Paris. You can get your name in Latin or Katakana, flag or club logo directly embroidered onto your jackets and belts. Custom embroidery is also available directly when ordering online.
What size should I choose for my judo kimono?
Fighting Films judogis run large, especially for adult models. We generally recommend choosing a size about 5 cm below your actual height (for example, if you measure 1m75, we advise selecting a 170 cm kimono). For junior models or if you hesitate between Standard and Large Fit, please check our size guide or visit our Paris boutique.
